Congress Scholarships
The Regional Science Association
International (RSAI) is pleased to announce a scholarship program aimed at facilitating
the participation of delegates who are students or delegates from less
developed countries (see list
of the countries approved by RSAI). A limited number of scholarship
awards will be made on a competitive basis to these delegates attending the
Tenth World Congress of RSAI in Bangkok, Thailand, May 26-30, 2014.
Scholarships consist in reduced registration fees for the presenting delegate of the paper/poster.

Applications will be reviewed by Congress Organizers. All decisions are final.
Please submit your application package via email in Adobe Acrobat format to the Congress Secretariat, 2014worldcongress@regionalscience.org. The pdf file should be named after your last and first names (e.g., LastName-FirstName.pdf).
The deadline for grant application is December 20th, 2013. Awards will be announced by January 20th, 2014.
The applicant package must Applicant package should include the following items:
1. Name, professional status, affiliation, and contact information;
1b. For students, please provide the name and contact information of a person who can be contacted to confirm your status;
2. Detailed statement of costs of attending the congress;
3. Other sources of funding and amount, accompanied with a signed affidavit certifying the truthfulness of this statement;
4. A brief resume (1 page maximum);
5. Title, author names and affiliations of the submitted paper(s);
6. Abstract and Draft of the submitted paper(s), if any available yet.

- Be an up-to-date RSAI member for 2014;
- Have submitted a paper/poster for presentation
to the World Congress and be the lead author this work;
- Be a student at the time of the start of the Congress or have a professional affiliation in a country from this list (see list of the countries approved by RSAI).
Selection criteria:
- Financial need (students, post-doc fellows,
and junior faculty members will be given priority);
- Delegates whose featured research appeals to
the international research community will be given priority;
- In case of joint research, only one author can
apply for a congress scholarship.
